Broward County Commissioner Lois Wexler has created the Stephen Wexler Memorial Fund with all donations going to the Broward Education Foundation.

Contributions will be used to institute a scholarship in memory of Stephen Wexler, who passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

Donations can be sent to the Broward Education Foundation, 600 S.E. Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33301. In the memo portion of the check, please write either the “Stephen Wexler Memorial Fund” or the “Wexler Memorial Fund.”

The Broward Education Foundation (BEF) serves as a catalyst for educational excellence by investing in the future of Broward’s students, teachers and schools by encouraging community support and utilizing community resources.

As a nonprofit arm of the School Board of Broward County, BEF raises funds to enrich education throughout the school district. The Foundation’s program provides scholarships for graduating seniors, awards grants to teachers that enable them to develop educational programs and projects, provides supplies for classrooms and reimburses tuition for district paraprofessionals who wish to continue their education.
