Bianca Rose Taylor recipient of the prestigious Pinnacle Award

     Bianca Rose Taylor a fifth grade student at The University School of Nova Southeastern University is a current recipient of the prestigious Pinnacle Award presented by the Broward County Nonpublic School Association to selective students from the nonpublic schools of Broward County who have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities in a variety of categories during the 2012-2013 school year.

Bianca is a straight “A” student at The University School of Nova Southeastern University located in Davie, Florida, is a member of the Junior Debate Team (two years), Lovewell Theatre Production (2 years) and the Spanish Assembly.

Her accolades include being honored Davie Florida Student of the Month 2011-12, Good Citizen Awards for the 2010, and 2011 and 2012 school years. Her extracurricular activities include playing soccer (two years) and volleyball (three years) with the City of Fort Lauderdale at Holiday Park, as well as, being a cast member in the theatre productions of Beauty and the Beast Jr., Willie Wonka Jr. and Alice in Wonderland Jr.)

Her Teacher, Mrs. Lisa Chancey says, “Bianca is a bright and energetic student who arrives to school each day with an enthusiasm for learning”

Mrs. Nucci McCormick, Fort Lauderdale’s “Distinguished Citizen of the Year” Award winner for 2012 and Chairlady of the Thomas W. McCormick Scholarship Fund and Chair-lady Emeritus of Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities Pro-gram has observed Bianca’s educational and social development since the first grade. Therefore, in recognition of this accomplishment, the Thomas W. McCormick Scholarship Fund has awarded a $500 scholarship to help enable Bianca to attend the world renowned “Super Camp” located at the University of Florida in Tampa this summer.

Bianca Rose Taylor recently became a member of the Thomas W. McCormick Scholarship Fund Youth Ambassador Program that fosters cultural diversity and friendship among the youth of the world through education, com-munity activities, leadership development, international exchanges and travel. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Taylor, sister Kayla Williams and the entire family proudly congratulates Bianca for her many achievements this school year.
