September “Sickle Cell Awareness Month” Walk 4 Sickle Cell

One of the Association’s fundraising events that is dedicated to supporting the needs of people with sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait is its annual walk. The Sickle Cell Walk brings together people with sickle cell along with the parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, relatives, and providers in a network of friendship and support. Funds raised help fuel innovative research, advocacy, and critical educational programs and services. Together, we are creating a world where all people with sickle cell can reach their full potential. Florida voters tire of DeSantis stunts

      St. Petersburg, Florida—The political invincibility of Governor Ron DeSantis is melting away according to a recent poll showing a dramatic shift in support to Democratic opponent Charlie Crist. The survey was taken after DeSantis shipped legal immigrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The poll featured in Newsweek and Nate Silver’s 538 shows Crist leading DeSantis by 6 points, which is beyond the margin of error and a 12-point swing in Crist’s favor. […]

     This past Saturday, September 24th, Supa Cindy launched he very first Supa Cindy Concert at City of North Miami Beach Senator Gwen Margolis Amphitheater. Her concert consisted of a large vendor pool with vendors ranging from a line of food-trucks lined up outside the park, to tents serving natural juice beverages; to vendors selling high-end jewelry, waist-beads and custom handbags.
