Does Mitt Romney take foreign policy seriously?

     As America prepares for a photo finish with the presidential election, the stakes are very high, and credibility and integrity should be the fundamental foundation that you base your vote on. America is at a crossroad, where we can go backwards or move forward. This is a critical choice and it can determine the vision for our future, and the world.

    Romney has been called a flip flopper, and President Obama has poked fun at him by calling his disease “Romnesia”. But after the laughs and the jokes, there is a serious side, and this election is about honesty and integrity. Americans must not be fooled or misdirected to accept inferior standards and regressive policies.

    America must lead the world with truth, and our President should be an individual with impeccable standards, and a proven track record that other countries admire. When Romney talks about the world, he is adversarial and confrontational, and many Americans think he is a warmonger. Based on what Romney has said on record, many Americans are confused on what he said recently, and what he said at the debate.

    At the debate, Romney presented himself as a moderate, who supports and agrees with many of the President’s foreign policies position. Here is another example of Romney flip-flopping today, and changing his position tomorrow. This comes very easy to him, therefore no one knows what to believe, and what is really his position.

    On May 31, at an interview with CBS News, Romney said, “Obama’s foreign policy deserves a grade of F across the board.” So with this statement, I would conclude that the President is doing a terrible job on foreign policy. But in the debate, Romney refused to challenge the President’s failed policies, and instead he supported and agreed with many of the President’s foreign policies.           

  Again, Romney is flip flopping, and at this debate he confirmed that he was a lightweight when it came to foreign policy. When Romney tried to attack the president on the size of the U.S. Navy, President Obama shut him down with this statement.

    Obama responded: “You mentioned the Navy, and the fact that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets. We have these things called aircraft carriers and planes land on them. We have ships that go under-water, nuclear submarines. It’s not a game of Battleship, where we’re counting ships. It’s what are our priorities?”

    In the CBS poll, the president won the commander-in-chief test by a staggering 53-23 margin. It was obvious that Romney was waiting to end this debate, because he has no experience, and he can only depend on his advisors. The majority of Romney’s advisors are members of Bush’s inner circle, and Bush was instrumental in getting our country into two wars.

    In 2012, it is essential that the president will not be taking a condensed course of on the job training. When you don’t have a reputable record in national politics, it is easy to say that you can make big changes, and create 12 million jobs.

    Romney’s goal is to fabricate a story, and fool the majority of Americans in the dominate culture, that he is ready day one to solve the problems in the country. Romney is playing a game; because that is the reason he can say one than tomorrow, and another thing the next day.

Romney is not serious, and he is telling the dominate culture, that he will snap his finger and everything will be alright. The sick thing about this narrative is that the dominate culture is willing to give Romney a chance, even though they don’t trust him, because he is white.
