Greed – selfishness and dumb
By Wilson Nathaniel Thomas
Running Down the RIDICULOUS
The Supreme Court of the United States of America blew the top off of Arizona’s RIDICULOUS immigration law last week, but for whatever reason, the brain dead governor of the state, Jan Brewer somehow convinced herself into believing that she actually won something out of the deal. Now it is one thing to be a hateful racist, but it is really bad to be a racist who has by-passed all levels of ignorance, and drifted into the unchartered waters of stupidity beyond all measure. Now I am not sure what it was that Jan Brewer ingested to propel her into the al-ternate universe that she resided in for the better part of last week, but whatever it was, she needs to tell us all where we can get some of that, because she completely detached herself from reality.
Republicans are up in arms over the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Obama Care and further deem the mandate constitutional. But the anger over the decision to uphold Obama Car failed in comparison to the newly spawned hatred that is now being hurled at Chief Justice John G. Roberts. The conservative justice broke the ranks of his party, and chose to up-hold the law, and stand for true justice by siding with the liberal justices, and now he is public enemy number one in the eyes of Republicans across the country. What a bizarre reaction to come out of a party of people who claim to be defenders of the law.
Now what do you think your fate would be if you made a couple of bad investments and lost 2 billion dollars of your boss’ money? At the very least, you would probably be out of a job, and depending on the circumstances of your debacle, you would more than likely be looking at the possibility of some jail time too, at least that would be the case of an ordinary American.
I cannot wrap my head around the fact that the United States of America has morphed into this no man’s land where children, the poor, and the elderly, have to fend for themselves, we have a mechanical man named Mitt Romney running for president, the incredibly rich can buy any election they want; and by the way thank a lot SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States), for that one, and bankers who were bailed out by the American people are allowed to continue to make piss poor decisions about this country’s finances, while bringing down even more stress on an economy that tethers on the brink of destruction.
Not only are these people allowed to get away with all that they have done, and will continue to do, we have a Congress that throws them a love fest.
Jamie Dimon, Wall Street hound dog and JP Morgan Chase CEO and his buddies borrowed 48 billion dollars from the American people and then turned around and lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-7 billion dollars of it. The only explanation provided to date by Mr. has been that he knows that he is good at what he does but even can screw up, and all the panel of lawmakers that the American people expected to nail this man’s sorry hide to the cross could fix their lips to say is, well for the most part you do a great job, and sure you lost enough money to fix a good bit of infrastructure around the country, and ultimately put a whole lot of Americans back to work, don’t worry about it dude, we understand, things happen.
I mean what the hell? This man and his financial friends gambled away the taxpayer’s dollars that they were expected to protect, and he is praised and his ego gets boosted by a bunch of swooning Republicans. The extent of just how RIDICULOUS this Senate Banking Committee hearing actually is would be comical if it weren’t for the fact that so many people are faced with the possibility that they could lose programs like Food Stamps, Meals on Wheels, and the School Lunch Program.
While the average American will have to suffer the consequences of yet another case of Wall Street irresponsibility and Capitol Hill Greed, Jamie Dimon and his friends will continue to collect millions of dollars in bonuses. Dimon can funk up billions of dollars, and Congress gives him a pat on the back, and calls for less regulation of the financial system. Where is the fiscal responsibility in that? As the Republican clown car continues to roll along Wall Street, the people living on the Main Streets and the dirt roads of America continue to be swift kicked in the butt.
And once again, President Barack Obama was given the booty of yet another right wing Republican Jackass to kiss. Never before in the history of these United States of America has any American president been treated with such callous disregard, malice, and disrespect. These folks are making it harder and harder to convince people with a brain that their behavior has nothing to do with the color of Barack Obama’s skin.
If for no other reason than for the respect of the country, if these people can’t find it within their sorry selves to have even a grain of sands worth of respect for the man sitting in the Oval Office, they should have enough respect for themselves as American Citizens to respect the office because it is the highest office in the land.
Neil Munro’s decision to become the reporter who will be forever known as the only member of the White House Press Core to heckle the President of the United States. Munro’s behavior bypassed any and all boundaries of proper etiquette, and anyone associated with the conservative online news outlet called the Daily Caller that employs him should be utterly embarrassed by his outrageous and RIDICULOUS behavior.
Beyond the fact that this latest incident of disrespect to the president is a disgrace beyond all measure, it is a blatant display of racism at its best, which shows the shear and imbalanced ignorance of so many within the Republican Party. How pathetic it is that folks are so filled with hate that they fail to realize that when they disrespect the president, they also disrespect the United States of America, they very country that they claim to love.
The Republican Party and all of their RIDICULOUS shenanigans since the election of President Obama, has made them a laughing stock the world over. Even more pathetic is the fact that these same folks fail to realize that the rest of the world is not laughing with them, but at them.
