By Kathy Olliver Co-worker and Friend

Florence Shelton-Clark a graduate of Plantation High School in Broward County, Florida, was elected in May of this year to represent Georgia’s Congressional District 6 at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina from Sept. 3 – 6, 2012.  Florence and her husband Tommy live in the city of Johns Creek, Ga. where they serve their community in many ways.

As a dedicated, committed, and loyal Democrat since she was old enough to vote, Florence has been an active political volunteer. She worked in the Clinton/Gore campaigns and the 2008 Obama/Biden campaign, and she is currently a Neighborhood Team Leader in the 2012 Obama/Biden campaign.

Her volunteer activities include voter registration drives, phone banks, volunteer recruitment, and local marches for justice. She is absolutely committed to getting our President, Barack Obama, reelected for another term.

Florence always works hard and achieves in every endeavor that she undertakes.  She has been successful in Corporate America in telecommunications, as a small retail business owner, and currently as a business woman with her own interior design business.  Florence is someone who can always be counted on to represent every-one in a “first-class” manner.

Sustaining and guiding Florence through all aspects of life is her faith in God.  She is grounded in core values that demonstrate her love of God, family, friends, community, country, and all people who need a helping hand.  There is no one who is better suited to represent the Georgia Congressional District 6 at the 2012 Democratic National Convention than Florence Shelton-Clark!
