Mount Hermon A.M.E. Church celebrates Pastor and Mrs. Willie J. Cook Pastoral  Appreciation service

The congregants of Mt. Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church, 401 N.W. Seventh Terr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and the community of South Florida will observe the annual Pastor’s Appreciation for Pastor Rev. Willie J. Cook, M.Div., and Mrs. Dorothy D. Cook.  The theme is “God has A Plan for His Servant Leader” Jeremiah 29:11.  Pastor Cook is a servant leader with the determination to serve God’s People with a Purpose towards Kingdom Building. He is a native of Lakeland. Fla. and a resident of Broward County for more than 20 years. He is an innovative leader, visionary, builder, pastor, preacher and administrator.

Pastor Cook’s ministry is characterized by a multifaceted approach that is ordained by God in providing holistic care to those whom he serves. He is known for his gift in ministry in creating an atmosphere of love and unity in preparing congregants in receiving a higher level of spiritual growth for God’s Kingdom.  Mrs. Cook serves as the advisor of the Women’s Missionary Society, Mt. Hermon A.M.E. Church and a member of the Clergy and Spouses Alliance of the South Conference of the Eleventh Episcopal District. She is an educator with the Miami-Dade County Public School Board. They are the proud parents of four children.

The appreciation festivities will begin at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, conducting the worship service Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Pompano Beach, Fla. The Reverend Louis Sanders, pastor.

Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Pastor James Darling will render services.

Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, Associates Ministers of Mt. Hermon A.M.E. Church, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Rev. Milford Talbot, Rev. Cynthia Johnson and Reverend Dr. L. Crusoe-Jackson.

Sunday. Sept. 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., (One service only) Pastor Willie J. Cook will deliver the closing message for this memorable occasion.
