No Vote, No Voice equals ‘No Black Liberation’

What is going on with my Black brothers and sisters? It is a very, very, very bad situation looking at the voter turnout here in Broward County for this past Primary Election, which simply shows what to honestly expect in November. Broward County had a total turnout of 10.7 percent showing that we as a people have failed once again. Do you not know that these local officials and representatives represent us and our people as a whole? So it is imperative that we have the right people in the right places.

Whether they be judges, school board members or any other politicians, it is of the utmost importance that we have decent people in these positions. They hold us and the future of our children in their hands, so we as a people must vote these people in or vote these people out. But, this cannot be done without your vote. Each and every vote counts and makes a difference, so if someone tells you it doesn’t matter, they’re lying.  It’s not hard to choose who to vote for, just find out what they stand for, what they believe in and/or how they will make a difference in areas of concern, as well as their opponents.

With all that we have been through as a people, from being denied education, denied the right to vote, served from the backdoor, having to sit at the back of the bus, just basically being treated like animals and the worse of all slavery. And my people still don’t see the urgency of voting and how it affects us as a whole. Many Black lives have been lost, Black families have been torn apart, Black blood has been shed for many years for this sole purpose alone and you still do not see the magnitude of its importance.

The marches, the sit-ins, the police brutality, the murders, the lynchings, the dog bites and the entire Civil Rights movement have made it possible for our voice to be heard. Especially, now that we have our own kind in the most important position as a man on God’s green earth, in the White House! To be honest it’s still hard for me to believe sometimes that White AmeriKKKa has a Black MAN Running Thangs! U no how we can talk at times!

The Real H-N-I-C!! IF U DON’T KNOW, THE HEAD NEGRO IN CHARGE! But in order for his presence to be consistent to our needs Black people and all minorities need to get off their butts and vote. If you have a Creole or Spanish friend or family member that doesn’t understand the significance of the November 2012 Election please explain to them how we need their votes. And remember a Voteless people, is a Hopeless people. We’ve been given equal opportunity so let’s exercise our rights and our right to vote on all levels of any elections. Let your voices be heard this November.
