Norris-Weeks to be honored at 2013 Profiles in Leadership Gala

    FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Burnadette Norris-Weeks of Burnadette Norris-Weeks, P.A., is one five Broward County residents who will be honored by the Leadership Broward Foundation during the 2013 Profiles in Leadership Gala, presented by BankUnited, at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, 2301 S.E. 17 St., Fort Lauderdale from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013.

John Benz, Memorial Healthcare System; Lisa Scott-Founds, Winterfest; Michael Goodman, Bitner Goodman; and Gerry Litrento, Bank-United, N.A., will also be honored for their talent and resources in helping to make Broward County a great place to live and work.

This year the Leadership Broward Foundation will also present a prestigious new award to Marti and Wayne Huizenga whom will deservingly be presented with the Excellence in Leadership, Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sharon D’Eusanio will receive the Excellence in Leadership, Special Recognition Award. D’Eusanio, a crime victim assistance and disability consultant, has donated her time over the years as a speaker for Leadership Broward program.

The gala, which is themed Gatsby, is co-chaired by Leadership Broward Foundation volunteers Pamela Baynes, Jeff Cato, Mary Harris and Peter Moore. Cato also serves on the Foundation’s board of directors as Vice President of Special Events.

“We’re very excited to celebrate the achievements of our honorees and our special award recipients for the profound impact they’ve had on Broward County,” said Foundation Chief Executive Officer Terri Wallace. “We’ve created a very special experience for them and for all of our guests. We look forward to an evening of elegance and honor. It is also very exciting to present our inaugural Excellence in Leadership award to Marti and Wayne Huizenga. It is no secret the impact they have had on our community.”

More than 400 guests are expected to attend. The annual Profiles in Leadership Gala is one of the best attended and widely recognized events of the season. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, an over-the-top live and silent auction, a special tribute to the honorees and dancing to live musical entertainment. The attire is black-tie optional. Tickets are $550 for Leadership Broward Foundation couples; $300 per person for Leadership Broward Foundation members; $325 per person for guests and non-members; and $200 for Emerge Broward members.
