Political evolution exposes the politics of mythical reality

By Derek Joy

Here it is.  The year 2014.

And 2013 is but a fading memory in the annals of time.

So let it be written.  So let it be done.  Precisely what so many people do this time of year. Throw out the old.  Usher in the new. Make resolutions of all sorts.

For some, making so called “New Year’s Resolutions” is nothing more than an exercise in futility.  A socially accepted way to feed one’s fantasies, perpetuate myths.

Sure enough, making resolutions presents the opportunity to be disruptive. In so doing, they seek to create an idol mind as the devil’s workshop.  As simple as that.

Of course, there are those who are practical. They set meaningful goals and objectives.  Their resolve is to consciously exert diligent efforts with the express purpose of achieving quantifiable results.

Resolution.

Think about it for a brief moment in time. Consider the link between the private and public aspect of making resolutions. Individual, on the one hand. On the other hand, the collective being the three tier government.

Consequently, “Government of the people, by the people and for the people,” operates at the local/municipal, state and federal levels.

Enter perception as the collective product of three individual entities of denotation, connotation and context.   Just like that, one very fundamental view of political evolution in America.
