Quentin Tarantino, Jamie Foxx In TV One Django: Unchained Special

TV One is airing the special, “Django Unchained: The TV One Special,” which is a look into the controversial new movie by Quentin TarantinoDjango Unchained. The movie tells the story of Django, a freed slave (played by Jamie Foxx), who teams up with a bounty hunter to save his wife (played by Kerry Washington) from the evil slaveowner (Leonardo DiCaprio)

The film and its stars have already caught a lot of flack surround the release (the movie comes out December 25). It all started with Jamie Foxx hosting Saturday Night Live, and many viewers were upset by his opening monologue.

“I got a new movie coming out, Django, check it out…Django Unchained, I play a slave. How black is that? In the movie, I have to wear chains. How whack is that? But don’t be worried about it, because I get out the chains, I save my wife, and I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that? And how black is that?”

Not only that, Tarantino has said that the 1977 TV miniseries Roots was a false storytelling of slaverySir?? Oh, and let’s not forget Matt Drudge of The Drudge Report who went on an N-word spree in his response to the movie.
