     BOCA RATON, FL – The 23rd annual Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic begins Friday, Oct. 26 through 28. The event will kick off with the Boxholder & Sponsor Cocktail Reception Oct. 26 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

    Two days of Pro-Celebrity tennis will take place at the Delray Beach Tennis Center Oct. 27-28. The annual star-studded Gala will feature an evening of fabulous musical entertainment and will take place Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

    For more than two decades, tennis legend and South Florida philanthropist Chris Evert, has hosted the event to help abused and neglected children in South Florida. 

    Since the first event in 1989, the Chris Evert / Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic has raised more than $20 million. Chris Evert Charities partners with the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida, a public-private partnership in con-junction with the state of Florida to raise money supporting programs for at-risk children.

    Among the celebrities scheduled to join Chris Evert and compete in the two days of tennis action are actors Christian Slater, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Scott Foley, Alan Thicke, Kevin McKidd and Maeve Quinlan, host of NBC’s Today show Hoda Kotb, musician Gavin Rossdale as well as many other greats from the world of tennis and entertainment. The annual Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Gala will feature an evening of first class musical entertainment, silent and live auctions, and dinner and dancing at the renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club. 

            Tickets for the tennis action and the Gala dinner are available through Chris Evert Charities at (561) 394-2400 or www.chrisevert.org. General admission tickets are $20 per day.  Individual day club seats (reserved seat with seat back) are $40 for each day, with Series tickets available for $70 for both sessions.  Box ticket packages range from $175 to $900, with individual box seats for $90. Children age 10 and under are free if accompanied by a paid adult in the general admission section.  Gala tickets are $750 each.
