The Jan Moran Collier City Learning Library had a successful second annual Pretty In Pink Tea. While the goal of the tea was to educate the community on the offerings of the library and recruit volunteers for their “Friends” group, this year the tea also acknowledged mothers with songs, poems and wonderful refreshments. Ladies dressed in all shades of pink sipped all flavors of tea, (both iced and hot), and enjoyed food and cakes donated by various library supporters and businesses. All of the ladies who attended were also able to take home a souvenir tea cup and saucer. The program was hosted by the library staff with Rhonda Jefferson serving as chair-person and Diane Woodard as emcee.  This year the keynote speaker was the First Lady of Macedonia Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, Dr. Ophelia Sanders, who chose “Hand Me Down Love” as her topic.  Pictured l to r: Rhonda Jefferson, Dr. Ophelia Sanders and Diane Woodard.
