WINNER OF THE “DRIVE IT HOME TRASH-OFF GREEK AND CLUB RECYCLING CHALLENGE” ANNOUNCED ON EARTH DAY 2016 — Winners of the 2016 Drive It Home Trash-Off Greek and Club Recycling Challenge have been announced as part of the Earth Day 2016 celebrations. The Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Drive It Home team partnered with The Coca-Cola Company to present this statewide college competition. The Challenge is part of the Great American Clean-Up initiative and the state’s litter prevention education media campaign. Utilizing a social media platform, the campaign received entries from students representing various Greek and social clubs from accredited colleges and universities throughout the state of Florida. Winners of the 2016 Drive It Home Trash-Off Greek and Club Recycling Challenge are as follows: First Place ($1,500 gift card)* – Nova Southeastern University – Human Rights Club; Second Place ($1,000 gift card)* – University of South Florida – Omega Phi Beta Sorority and Third Place ($500 gift card)* – Florida International University – The American Institute of Architecture Students.
