Paychecks for Patriots began last year when the Tennessee Department of Labor partnered with Dollar General and several major employers in Tennessee to connect veterans with jobs. The first “Paychecks for Patriots” hiring fair was held on October 25, 2013, in 13 Tennessee Career Centers throughout the state and featured local employers interested in putting veterans to work.
