The Wildcats’ softball team wraps up the regular season with a key Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series against Jackson State University at Sunnyland Park April 25-26.

A single game takes place at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 25 followed by a double header on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 1 p.m.

The Wildcats had been hot before a hiccup in Tallahassee being swept by Florida A&M in a three-game series from April 19-20.

B-CU is 19-26 overall and 12-8 in the SWAC. They are currently fourth in the SWAC East Di- vision but trail second place Jackson State (13- 7) by a game.

The Wildcats have a shot at second place and the second seed from the East Division for the upcoming SWAC tournament.

The SWAC tournament takes place in Gulfport, Mississippi from May 6-9. The winner of the tournament earns an automatic trip to the NCAA tournament.

They had won six straight and 11 out of 14 games prior.

B-CU hosted Memphis at Sunnyland Park on Wednesday, which was after the Daytona Times’ deadline.

The Wildcats have pitchers Halyne Gonzalez (9 wins, .375ERA, 12CG, 89SO), Alyssa Lopez (9-5, 2.05ERA, 7CG, 79SO) and Alyssa Brady (1-1, 2.93ERA); infielder Shania Owens (.333BA, 4HR, 22RBI, 36R, 33SB); outfielder Joslyn Da- vis (,353BA, 16RBI, 48H, 22SB); outfielder Em- ma Bradley-Tse (.350BA, 25RBI, 48H); infielder Kendall McCauley (,298BA, 2HR, 18RBI); infielder Molly Blackwood (.265BA, 1HR, 20RBI); infielder Brianna Valezquez (.252BA, 1HR, 22RBI) and company.
