At the age of seventy-eight, considered old, President Biden entered the 2020 presidential race primarily to save America’s democracy from again falling into the hands of former President Trump, a corrupt demagogue. He defeated Trump and became America’s 46th President. During his four years, he rescued the economy, halted the spread of COVID-19, and stimulated unprecedented job creation. Yet, there remains more work to solve political and social issues dividing the country.
President Biden, now eighty-one, accepted the challenge and became the Democrats’ 2024 presidential candidate. Despite a poor debate and waning health, which caused doubt amongst fellow Democrats and donors, he wanted to remain in the race.
However, his love for America, Democracy, and, even more so, its people led him to make a selfless sacrifice, a testament to his unwavering commitment to Democracy. This sacrifice, driven by his heartfelt devotion to saving the soul of this great Nation, is a powerful demonstration of his dedication and love for the country.
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, President Biden wrote a terse letter to the American people stating that he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsing VP Harris as his replacement. When Biden selected Harris as his VP, he undoubtedly saw a hidden strength that could be relied upon to defend and save America’s Democracy if needed.
The weight of this responsibility only challenges VP Harris to work harder and smarter. She is not only aware of it but also ready to step up to the challenge. Her readiness to defend and save America’s Democracy is a source of confidence for all who support her, and her tenacity and willingness to speak the truth about Trump as a lying provocateur are gradually becoming more evident.
Astonishingly, VP Harris’s call to defend democracy against Trump’s anti-democracy plans parallels the Biblical story of Queen Esther. The Book of Esther reminds us to remain faithful, hopeful, and confident because goodness always triumphs over evil. A deeper understanding reveals the gravity of the situation and the importance of sacrificing for the welfare of others. Biden’s values reflect those in the Book of Esther.
It’s not expected or wise for doubting Democrats to attempt to circumvent President Biden’s recommendation. They should ensure any new presidential nominee chosen follows protocol and regulations. In due time, once VP Harris becomes the official nominee, she’ll need help selecting a senator or governor who’s politically savvy, intelligent, courageous, successful/effective, fearless, and an articulate orator as her vice president.
Again, the presumptive Presidential Candidate, VP Harris, must also immediately hire the best media firms capable of using all forms of media, especially AI, to produce visual and oral messages. It’s vital to inform and educate voters about what’s at stake. This strategic use of media is crucial in the fight against Trump and his regime’s evil Fascist Project 2025 plan. This is the first obstacle to deconstruct in the battle to save Democracy.
Let’s not forget the arsenal of absolute immunity powers SCOTUS prematurely granted to presidents attempting to shield Trump from past and future prosecutions. Guess what? President Biden can use these powers to protect Democracy and individuals’ inalienable rights from anyone he deems a threat.
President Biden demonstrated courage and leadership at a critical time in his 2024 election campaign. He made a gut-wrenching decision to sacrifice his pursuit of the presidency, opening a pathway for Vice President Harris to run.
