The Broward County Section of the National Council of Negro Women Global Committee completed its first Global Mission since it was chartered in April, 2016. Under the Leadership of Laura Richardson. The Global Committee appealed to the membership for immediate hurricane relief for Haiti. As a result, baby care packs, family packs, water and toys were collected. In partnership with the Man Dodo Humanitarian Foundation, Inc., the items collected departed from Miami, Fla., Dec. 5, 2016, and were delivered and distributed to numerous families in the Southern cities of Cayes, Roche Bateau, Village of Torbeck and Cavallon, Haiti.
