City of Fort Lauderdale Community Investment Programs applications now available

Applications for grant funds accepted through Friday, Sept. 28

    Fort Lauderdale, FL The City of Fort Lauderdale is currently accepting grant applications for the 2013 Neighborhood Community Investment Program (NCIP) and the Business Community Investment Program (BCIP). Applications may be submitted now through Friday, September 28, 2012.  Complete NCIP/BCIP applications, instructions, and guide books are available on the City’s website at www.fortlauderdale.gov/neighborhoods.

    The NCIP/BCIP provides matching grant funds for the construction of community improvements that beautify neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the City of Fort Lauderdale. The NCIP offers matching grants of up to $35,000 to recognized Fort Lauderdale neighborhood associations. The BCIP offers matching grants of up to $22,500 to the City’s recognized not-for-profit business associations.

    A Technical Assistance Workshop to assist applicants with project proposals and budgets is scheduled for Monday, July 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at George English Park, 1101 Bayview Dr. There is no charge to attend the workshop and reservations are not required.
