RIVIERA BEACH, FL – During the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week of Observance, Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick held a series of service projects throughout Florida’s 20th Congressional District. In Palm Beach County, she led a team of volunteers to beautify seniors’ front yards.

“This is the first time anyone has ever done something like this for me. I want you to keep serving and loving one another,” said Riviera Beach senior citizen Mrs. Andrews.

“Dr. King left a legacy of servant leadership for us to carry on. It’s up to each of us to pick up his mantle and continue to serve. We are standing on the shoulders of greatness,” concluded Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick. “We must step up to meet our destiny moment.”
