FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Executive Director Bonnie M. Flynn of the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society (FLHS) is excited to announce a brand new, one-of-a-kind event: the First Annual Family Holiday Festival in Old Fort Lauderdale. The community is invited to gather ‘round for this free event; an afternoon filled with fun and family-friendly activities and shopping.

Stroll down memory lane at the antique car show, enjoy creating holiday crafts, tell Santa your holiday wishes, and even design your own wreath to hang.

Stop by any of our vendors for food and drinks, including beer and wine. Also, be sure to check out the outdoor stage for non-stop entertainment throughout the afternoon. This is  a one-day only event you won’t want to miss.

    Join us on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“The holidays are always such a wonderful time,” says Flynn. “The Historical Society is thrilled to be able to produce an event for families to enjoy together. We thank AutoNation for sponsoring us.”

There is plenty more for you and your family to enjoy on this special day, including gift wrap-ping, Christmas carol singing, cupcake decorating, a holiday scavenger hunt, a pet parade, and even face painting and a costume contest.

You may even be able to learn some cool dance moves with a DJ on site.
