Fort Lauderdale Links Signature White Rose Program

The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the Links Incorporated resumed its year-round Signature White Rose Program and Scholarship on Sunday, July 10, 2022 @ 4 p.m. via zoom. The White Rose Program is a community based initiative designed to give much needed information in the areas of History, HBCUs, Geography, Finances and Health as well as to allow discussion on the many issues facing our communities today. The program also provides high school seniors with the opportunity to receive scholarships if certain criteria are met and it provided added monetary awards for high school underclassmen. All high school students receive community services hours.

The program is featured every first Sunday of the month from 4:00-6:05 p.m. unless it is a holiday. Any one may sign up for the program via the chapter’s website www.linksfortlauderdale.org and then click on the date(s) that you wish to attend to register.

The program also has featured speakers each sessions. The speakers for July were Broward County’s dynamic trio, the State Attorney Harold Pryor, the Public Defender Gordon Weekes and the Clerk of Courts, Brenda Forman. The August speaker was the Supervisor of Elections, Joe Scott. The chapter invites all, especially our high school students, to attend for a very informative two hours.
