BCAC offers free mentorship for students in Broward County, aiming to guide and support children and teens through various programs tailored to their age groups. Families seeking these invaluable resources for their children were excited to attend the orientation, which showcased four key programs offered by the chapter.
The Delta Violet Program, designed for girls in grades K through 5, provides foundational skills and empowerment for young girls. The Delta Academy, geared toward middle school girls in grades 6 through 8, fosters leadership, academic achievement, and character development. For high school girls in grades 9 through 12, the Delta GEMS program offers guidance on career exploration, college preparation and exposure, community service, social action and more! Boys in grades 6 through 12 also benefit from mentorship through the EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program, aimed at nurturing leadership and personal growth. Both boys and girls who are seniors in high school may participate in the Cotillion which features workshops and seeks to support students in securing funds for their journey into higher education.
For questions or additional information about the programs, families are encouraged to contact Vice President of Program Planning and Development, Roselyn Honyghan, at sororhonyghan@gmail.com or call (954) 593-7111.
