It’s something to be said about being stuck in the MUD

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Psalm 51:6-8 (NAS)

You ever wonder why a pig so much enjoys frolicking in the mud? For a pig, it  has a physical enjoyment attached to it. The pigs wallow in mud to get cool because they cannot sweat, like we humans do to cool off.

So for pigs being stuck in the mud is ok, but for us humans securing ourselves in mud other than the medicinal purposes can be a frightening occurrence.

Is it crazy or what to throw oneself purposely into a mud bath  or to pay someone to plaster your face with guck so that when it dries, you look like the Thing from Fantastic Four, bumped up face and weighing over a half ton.

The mud that I’m talking about here is Misery Under Direction.

Have you ever wondered what was causing you not to achieve your spiritual placement or understand your spiritual talent or what can be most frustrating not to recognize what maybe causing this enter turmoil?

Could you be stuck in Misery Under Direction (MUD)?

Are you finding yourself bombarded with the why questions, i.e. Why is this happening to me, why can’t I move pass this point, why, why , why…!!!

You might just be stuck in the MUD, wallowing in a pitiful state of self isolation just about on the brink of giving up.

Standing at this crossroad, you might immediately have to tell yourself: “Lord God teach me how to wallow in your word that it may clean me.”

Being stuck in the MUD is an opportunity to have the stench and filth of our sins cleaned from us.

There is a reason for everything on earth. While going through the MUD, I’m learning to ask for directions to get me through so I can be used by Him who created the MUD to bring me to Him to be made ready for His use.

While in the MUD I began to understand the need for trials and tribulations. They are there to make us depend on Him, the MUD Maker, to grow our faith stronger in Him.

And while we are in the MUD waiting for His process to clean us up, I’m beginning to know better that it is His will and His way for readying us for His purpose of using our spiritual talents.

To begin to understand, before He can use us we have to be cleaned up by placing us in the MUD. This is an opportunity for us to see that we are dirty, filthy rags and we can’t come before Him in that manner.

We are not complete for His service in that manner, therefore He must take us through His course of action and make us ready for His service.

It’s not all bad when we are in the MUD because the goodness comes when we are cleaned and processed and have come out of the MUD made ready  for His edification.

By Him, Misery Under Direction(MUD) is not bad at all.

“Thank you Lord for being stuck in the MUD. Thank you Father for placing me in the MUD. Thank You for cleaning me up  and making me ready for your service. Amen.”
