The Social Clownz of Kazah Temple #149 AEAONMS, Inc. recently presented a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving graduating high school senior from Miami-Dade County.
The student, Jadan Swindle, was selected based on his high school record of academic achievement and community service.
Jadan is a senior at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. A student athlete, Jadan plays on his school’s varsity basketball and volleyball teams while consistently earning honor roll distinctions throughout his academic career.
“This scholarship was born out of a desire to carry forward a legacy of excellence and community pride. Past Potentate Richard El-Amin was a proud graduate of Miami Northwestern Senior High School and member of the Kazah Social Clown Unit. In his honor, we established this award specifically for a young man graduating from Miami Northwestern,” Chief Jester Steve Ewing, stated.
The Social Clownz Unit is an auxiliary of Kazah Temple No. 149 AEAONMS, Inc. (Miami Prince Hall Shriners). Prince Hall Shriners are recognized by their distinctive headpiece, the crimson fex. An appendant body of the Masonic Fraternal Order, Shrinedom is thought of as a Fraternal, Social, and Charitable Organization: FRATERNAL in the sense of using passwords and symbols to remind its members to ever strive for inner self-improvement; SOCIAL from the standpoint of the enjoyment of good times within its own ranks; and CHARITABLE for its unselfish giving of goods and services on both the local and national fronts.
In the fall, Swindle will be attending Benedict College where he plans to major in Business and Finance. His professional aspirations are to become a Financial Analyst in banking and the stock market, as well as an entrepreneur.
