MIAMI GARDENS, FL — In recognition of National Scholarship Month, the Miami Dolphins announced open application period for the seventh annual Nat Moore Scholarship & Vocational Grant Endowment Program.
The program’s mission is to provide the youth of Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties with the financial resources needed to pursue avenues of education and training for employment readiness. Guidelines for the scholarship and grant are below:
Nat Moore Scholarship – award amount $10,000 ($2,500 per year for four years)
- Application deadline February 28, 2025, by 11:59 pm EST. No late submissions will be reviewed or accepted.
- Must be a high school senior graduating from a Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe or Palm Beach County high school on or before June 2025.
- Demonstrate financial need to attend college.
- Minimum high school grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 grade scale, excluding home studies).

Nat Moore Vocational Grant – maximum award amount $3,500 (towards cost of entire program)
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18-24. If current or graduating high school senior, documentation is required.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Eligible students can apply for the grant linked here.
Earlier this year, the Nat Moore Scholarship Endowment Program awarded 12 worthy students with scholarships to further their studies and hosted recipients at a Dolphins game and enjoyed a special pregame on field experience before students left for college for the 2024 academic year.
Selected through an application process that showcased community service, leadership, financial need and academic standing, this season’s scholarship was awarded to 12 graduating seniors from South Florida.
2024 Nat Moore Scholarship Endowment Program Recipients:
- Eitan Brown of Marjory Stoneman Douglas is attending Santa Fe College.
- Lorenzo Castillo of Miami Palmetto Senior High School is attending the University of Florida.
- Christine Clarke of Cardinal Gibbons High School is attending Howard University.
- Megan Dorvilier of Miami Norland Senior High School is attending Florida Agriculture Mechanics University.
- Rachel Ireland of Wellington Community High School is attending the College of William and Mary.
- Jarvis Jones of Miami Central Senior High School is attending Florida International University.
- Dasani Little of South Dade High School is attending Morgan State University.
- Ammar Mansuri of Everglades High School is attending the University of Florida.
- Roger McKenzie of the School for Advanced Studies – Wolfson Campus is attending the University of Florida.
- Patricia Perez of Jose Marti MAST 6-12 Academy is attending Duke University.
- Samantha Schultz of Cardinal Gibbons High School is attending Florida State University.
- Ronald Smith III of M.A.S.T. (Medical Academy of Science and Technology) @ Homestead is attending Florida International University.
Established in 2018, the Nat Moore Endowment Fund serves as the education pillar of the Miami Dolphins Foundation and provides graduating high school students in Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties with the financial resources to bolster efforts in bridging the gap between receiving financial assistance and obtaining a degree or vocational diploma. Since its inception, the scholarship program has provided more than 150 students with scholarships and vocational grants in excess of $2 million.
