Dionne Polite, will serve as President of the North Broward County (FL) Chapter for the 2025-2027 biennium.
Polite serves as a member of the AARP Florida leadership team and brings a lifetime of experience to the North Broward County (FL) Chapter. She fully understands nonprofits and the important role they serve in creating a healthy, vibrant community. Dionne is a graduate of the City University New York with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting and AARP’s Executive Education Program at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
“Serving as President of The North Broward County (FL) Chapter will allow me to further support and advance our organization’s commitment to enriching, empowering, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry,” said Polite.
New board members serving with Dionne Polite include Tamara Gant, Vice President, Dr. Nethel Stephens, Treasurer, Miaya Stephenson, Financial Secretary, Juliette “Julie” Owens, Corresponding Secretary, Shelby Rushin, Recording Secretary, and Dr. Cynthia Hannah, Program Chair.
