At the Urban League of Broward County, we believe that empowering young people means giving them opportunities to lead, serve, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Recently, our Community Justice youth put that belief into action by partnering with Nehemiah Ministry to help rehabilitate local homes. Rolling up their sleeves and working side by side, our youth gained hands-on experience while contributing to the revitalization of neighborhoods across Broward County.
The experience was about more than completing a service project. It was an opportunity for our youth to develop practical skills, strengthen teamwork, build confidence, and see firsthand how their time and talents can create positive change.
Through experiences like this, young people are not simply learning about community responsibility they are living it.
Every home restored, every skill developed, and every hour of service represents a step toward stronger neighborhoods and a stronger future.
This is service in action. This is youth empowerment. This is community impact.
