She Fought The Lies And The Lies Won

Vice President Kamala Harris did her best to convince American voters to cast their ballots for freedom, joy, and democracy. At the time this column was written, about 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, network newsrooms had projected Donald Trump to be the winner in the 2024 Presidential election.

Kamala fought the Lies, and the Lies won!

Well, I, like many others, felt Kamala would fare much better than she did. The HBCU graduate made a mistake that most Black Democratic candidates make, she wrapped her brown arms around a pack of Democratic wolves!

Let me explain. Kamala, put her trust and her campaign in the hands of political wolves in sheep’s clothing!

The white men and women who were the decision-makers on the Harris campaign convinced Kamala that only they could guide her to victory, but they couldn’t, and they didn’t.

Harris had Biden’s campaign team, but she never got the votes or won the states that President Biden won when he beat Donald Trump like a rug in 2020.

Harris was told she had a massive and productive “ground game”. At the end of the race, it was clear her dream of political chess turned out to be political checkers.

The ground game of excited, but inexperienced GOTV volunteers was no match for the payments made by Republican billionaires to pay Trump workers and supporters.

I get criticized for talking about politics and money but spending a million dollars on signs is not comparable to spending a million dollars with Latino, Black, and other ethnic political professionals.

You tell me, in what political operation in the world are volunteers more productive, more inspirational, and more motivational than paid workers?

“White Tribe Dreaming” is real. In politics, who can deliver is a far more realistic determinant than who the campaign consultants dream will win!

Remember, when I talked about MAGA Democrats, and no one believed me? Conservative white Democrats that voted for Joe Biden in 2020, crossed over and voted for the Republican convicted criminal instead of the Black woman. All MAGA members of both major parties launched social media attacks, conspiracy theories, political lies, and “drama-la” against Kamala!

The Republican “whisper campaign” can devastate Democratic campaign efforts. Don’t act like you didn’t notice that too many white women voted for reproductive rights and voted against Kamala.

Democratic strategists didn’t want Kamala to have Blacks in decision-making positions on her campaign and Republicans whispered that America didn’t need another N-word in the White House!

The polls were awful. Democrats jumped with joy when GOP members called Puerto Rico garbage and Kamala “trash”.

Harris saw some polls and declared, “We will win!” You can’t base a campaign on polls because polls lie just like Trump lies.

Candidates who win elections work harder but they also work smarter!

For the last time, Democratic timing was off, messaging was less than desired, responses, such as Democratic professionals letting Trump blame Harris for transexual health care when rudimentary research would have shown that transexual health care in prison was actually a Trump policy.

Democrats hire staff that they can control while Republicans hire people that can deliver votes.

Anyway, the world will not come to an end, but the world’s dictators will get all they want from the Babayka. Trump will have to pay for the bomb threats in the swing states that scared many voters of color, the flood of social media A-I inspired fake videos, and the flood of lawsuits that suggested the election would be crooked.

Kamala and her supporters said, “We’re not going back!” However, politicians always go back.

America still needs a new generation of public officials. Time will tell if we ever get politicians that understand a more diverse America will necessitate more diversity in political operations.

Just once, will Democrats finally realize what they keep doing wrong when doing right will result in important political victories?
