SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR BY FLORIDA VIRTUAL SCHOOL: Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent Robert W. Runcie is being recognized by Florida Virtual School as Superintendent of the Year. Superintendent Runcie shares the honor with Mark Rains, Superintendent of Dixie District Schools. According to Florida Virtual School, the Superintendent of the Year co-recipients were selected based on their leadership, hard work, dedication to providing quality education to students and their commitment to improving the lives of students in pursuit of virtual education.  “Our virtual school and online opportunities are a critical part of our strategy to meet the needs of all students,” said Superintendent Runcie.  “They provide our students the flexibility and the personalization to achieve academic success.” Pictured Superintendent Robert W.
