South Florida Community Invited to Pack, Party and Celebrate a Decade of Restoring Dignity Through Hygiene
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Beauty Initiative, Inc. is proud to celebrate ten years of serving South Florida with A Decade of Dignity, a community-wide packing party on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center. This milestone event will bring together volunteers, nonprofit organizations, businesses, elected officials and community members to assemble thousands of hygiene and period care items that will immediately benefit children, families and individuals experiencing hardship throughout Broward County and beyond.
More than an anniversary celebration, A Decade of Dignity is an opportunity for the community to serve side-by-side while enjoying a live DJ, giveaways, community recognition and an afternoon dedicated to making a lasting impact. “For ten years, our community has shown that dignity begins with the basics,” said Ashley L. Eubanks Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of The Beauty Initiative. “Something as simple as a toothbrush, soap or a clean pair of underwear can restore confidence and remind someone they matter. This celebration belongs to every volunteer, donor, partner and supporter who has helped make this mission possible. We invite everyone to come pack, party and celebrate with us.” Founded in 2016, The Beauty Initiative has distributed more than 1.5 million hygiene and period products while advocating that hygiene is a basic human necessity—not a luxury.
