Hogans Honored at MODCO’s 30th Anniversary Gala for His Dedication to Empowering the Broward Community
The Urban League of Broward County is celebrating one of its own, Board Member Tim Hogans, who was recently honored at the Mount Olive Development Corporation’s (MODCO) 30th Anniversary Gala for his remarkable service and leadership in the community.
Held on October 4 at the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, the milestone event brought together civic leaders, community partners, and supporters to recognize individuals who have made a lasting impact in advancing MODCO’s mission of community development and empowerment.
Representatives from the Urban League, including staff, volunteers, and members of the Young Professionals Network (YPN), joined the celebration to support Hogans, whose years of commitment and leadership have helped drive progress and opportunity throughout Broward County.
Hogans’ recognition highlights his unwavering dedication to uplifting others, his visionary leadership, and his ongoing efforts to create meaningful change across the region.
“Tim’s leadership continues to inspire us all,” said a representative from the Urban League of Broward County. “He exemplifies what it means to serve with passion and purpose, always putting the community first.”

Biography
Tim works in Chen Moore & Asociates External Affairs and Electrical Engineering department, managing relationships with regulatory utility commissioners, elected officials, and community stakeholders in the southeast. He has served in multiple leadership roles over the past 22 years at Florida Power & Light.
Tim is actively engaged in his community and has held leadership positions on numerous boards. Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Florida, Junior Achievement, Urban League of Broward County, Broward 2-1-1, Broward Days, AvMed Advisory Board, Business for the Arts, and Parks Foundation of Broward County. He is a member of Leadership Florida Connect Class 6, Leadership Broward Class XXXIII, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was also named 2018 Ft. Lauderdale Leukemia Lymphoma Society Man of the Year.
Tim holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from FSU. He is married with two children.
