Derek Chauvin, the officer who killed George Floyd, is now on trial. The defense attorney stated that Chauvin was following protocol and that the case should rely on more than the 9 minute 29 second video. On the contrary, the prosecuting attorney believed that it was a homicide and Chauvin betrayed his oath as a police officer. I agree with the prosecuting attorney; what Chauvin did is unjustifiable and illegal. He needs to get the proper punishment necessary for his crime. If he is able to walk free, this will be another example of how the justice system is unjust.
