BROWARD COUNTY, FL — September 2026 — Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Gamma Sigma Chapter, will celebrate its 75th Anniversary with BLUSINO 2026: A White Sneaker Affair on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the I.T. Parker Community Center in Dania Beach, Florida.
The milestone celebration will honor 75 years of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service while recognizing individuals whose leadership, advocacy, professional accomplishments, and commitment to the South Florida community exemplifies the spirit of service.
BLUSINO 2026 will feature an evening of fellowship, food, cocktails, music, entertainment, and casino-style gaming. Guests are invited to embrace the event’s signature “After 5 – Crescent Blue Glam” attire, paired with the distinctive White Sneaker Affair concept.
Honoring Community Champions
As part of its 75th Anniversary celebration, Gamma Gamma Sigma is proud to recognize eight outstanding community servants whose work continues to make a meaningful difference:
Latoya London — Founder of the Latoya London Foundation, recognized for her service to individuals experiencing homelessness and those less fortunate.
Karen Smith — Recognized for her advocacy and commitment to raising awareness and supporting individuals and families affected by Sickle Cell Disease.
Latoya Braddy-Black — American Cancer Society Relay for Life Event Leadership Team Chair, recognized for her leadership in cancer awareness, fundraising, and community engagement.
Altheresa Clark — Mental health advocate and founder of Inspire4Purpose, LLC, recognized for her commitment to mental health awareness and empowering individuals to live with purpose.
Marsha Ellison — Recognized for her leadership with the NAACP and her dedication to civil rights, community advocacy, and social justice.
Johnny McCray Jr. — Attorney of 44 years and Broward County Public Schools Volunteer of the Year, recognized for his professional leadership and commitment to serving students and the broader community.
Bobby Henry — Publisher of The Westside Gazette and a respected community voice, recognized for his longstanding commitment to informing, empowering, and advocating for the South Florida community.
Dwight Witherspoon — Owner of Spoon’s Grill & Restaurant, recognized for his contributions to the community through entrepreneurship, hospitality, and service.
75 Years of Impact
Since its chartering in 1951, Gamma Gamma Sigma has established a proud legacy of service throughout Broward County and South Florida. The chapter’s work has focused on education, youth development, scholarships, mentoring, community engagement, and initiatives designed to improve the quality of life for those it serves.
The chapter’s youth initiatives include the Sigma Beta Club, which provides mentoring and leadership development for young males ages 8–18. Through educational programming, scholarships, mentoring, and community service, Gamma Gamma Sigma continues to invest in the next generation.
The 75th Anniversary celebration provides an opportunity to recognize the chapter’s history while highlighting the individuals and organizations that are making a difference today.

Proceeds from BLUSINO 2026 will help support the charitable and community initiatives of Gift Giving Services, Inc. (GGS), a 501(c)(3) organization of Gamma Gamma Sigma.
Funds raised will help support scholarships, Sigma Beta Club programming, educational initiatives, and other community-focused activities.
The chapter invites individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations, community leaders, and friends of Phi Beta Sigma to join this historic celebration.
