On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Fort Lauderdale Chapter hosted its highly anticipated Diamond Jubilee Gala at the Renaissance Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The evening was a dazzling celebration of 75 years of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood, bringing together distinguished guests, community leaders, and members from near and far to honor the chapter’s legacy and impact.

August 15, 2024– The Children’s Services Council of Broward County (CSC) is proud to announce the selection of Dr. David Kenton as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 1st.  With a proven track record of leadership and a deep commitment to improving the lives of children and families, David brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to CSC as it continues to advance its mission of ensuring that all children in Broward County grow up healthy, safe, and successful.

Ayanna Davis, an African American woman known as “Phenomenally Autistic,” has recently illustrated her 30th children’s book. She is an award-winning artist and Autism Advocate. Via her books and other initiatives, Ayanna champions for Black Autistics to gain recognition, information, and access to resources to improve their well-being with being Autistic.

     On Wednesday, July 26, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. General President Dr. Willis, L. Lonzer, III announced the Fraternity’s decision to relocate their 99th General Convention and 119th Anniversary Convention from Orlando, Florida, citing Governor Ron DeSantis’ “harmful, racist, and insensitive policies against the Black community.”
