Roses Rose Bowl Parade

Submitted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc

Actual photo and sketch rendering of the historical float the Deltas entered in the 2013 Tournament of Roses Rose Bowl Parade. This was the first float ever entered by an African American group or organization. This event kicks off the 100th Anniversary of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. with 300,000 members worldwide who believe in “SISTERHOOD & SERVICE.” The float carried seven past national presidents while 100 sorority members dressed in red and white marched with the impressive float. As dictated by the Tournament of Roses parade rules, the float was made entirely of flowers, flower petals, seeds, roots and tree bark, and other living plants, leaves and stems. Amazing!
