Arthur Napolean Raymond Robinson, 87, a former Trinidad and Tobago prime minister died on April 23 after a pro-longed illness. Robinson had been hospitalized on previous occasions for several medical conditions related to diabetes. Robinson was the prime minister from 1986 to 19991 and served as president from 1997 to 2003. He is credited with introducing the idea of a single market. In 2011, a small Tobago airport was named in his honor, A.N.R. International Airport. Robinson leaves behind a son and a daughter.
