All 10 members of the Hallandale Beach Police Department SWAT team re-signed on Friday in response to their police chief kneeling in solidarity alongside protesters earlier last week, “calling the action “most shocking.” In a memo addressed to Police Chief Sonia Quinones, the SWAT team members complained they were “minimally equipped, under trained and restrained by the politicization of our tactics.

     Our youngest Americans belong to the potentially most educated, most diverse, and most at-risk generations in modern times.  Their K-12 schooling has been interrupted and their college education remains uncertain.  We must turn this crisis into a moment to help Black youth and educate others.

     It is no secret that community newspapers, hard hit by the transition from print to digital, have been further crippled by the coronavirus pandemic, as businesses dealing with their own financial viability have withdrawn advertising in droves. That is resulted in many publications implementing layoffs, furloughs, and cost-cutting measures to stay afloat until the economy — and hopefully the advertising dollar with it — rebounds.

Saint Augustine’s University School of Business, Management, and Technology (SBMT) has announced the formation of the first HBCU cycling team in the country via the Department of Sport Management. This team is a club sport within the SBMT. The team has recently been approved and registered by USA Cycling to compete in the collegiate club Atlantic division against dozens of other schools in the Southeast.

In 1990, Professor Oyibo published the GAGUT theorem that he says answered all forms of equations and theorems to space, time, and life itself, as well as all theorems of the past, present and future. It originated out of and can be represented by one invariant Gi, which has orthogonal components Gij, and a divergence of Gij,j=0. GAGUT has therefore unified all of mathematics into one equation Gij.j=0 and so has already provided the solutions to all mathematics problems. His theorem states that all elements of the universe are controlled by a form of GOD or GOD’S spirit, thus proving the existence of a GOD.

Danielle Geathers—a rising junior at the university who majors in mechanical engineering—won the student government election along with her vice president running mate Yu Jing Chen. Her appointment is historic as it marks the first time in MIT’s 159-year history that a Black woman has served at the helm of the student body.

In 1971, a local newspaper published a story that misquoted Levi Henry, Jr. Mr. Henry went to the editor and asked him to correct the statement. Recognizing that the newspaper had other intent which seemed more interested in placating  their well-connected “friends” than reporting the truth or shedding a light on issues that impacted his community, Levi Henry Jr. established the Westside Gazette to be such a platform for telling the truth and sharing the positive stories about Black people. With the motto, A positive paper for a positive people, the Westside Gazette was born.
