Ā  Ā Ā  Yesterday in Atlanta, the Florida A&M University Rattlers, champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), capped a magical 12-1 season by defeating Howard University, the Mid-Eastern Athletics Conference champs, 30-26 in the Celebration Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ā Ā Ā Ā  During last week’sĀ NFLĀ game between theĀ Las Vegas RaidersĀ and the Los Angeles Chargers, history was made with theĀ first all-Black on-field and replay officiating crew, which included three women. The officiating crew included Maia Chaka, who served as the line judge; Artenzia Young-Seigler, the replay official; and Desiree Abrams, the replay assistant. The crew called a combined ten penalties for 95 yards in the game.
