Recognizing the need for both supporting individuals experiencing shelterlessness and ensuring passenger safety, BCT has partnered with various agencies to launch Project Homeless Connect.

In just three years, the division’s success is attributed to improving the cleanliness of BCT buses and earning an 89% customer satisfaction rating in 2018. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, the Broward County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to award OIC-Si a $4.2 million contract over the next FIVE years.
