     With much anticipation, today’s School Board meeting in Broward county is expected to be like a precursor to the Fourth of July show.  With a boldness like none seen before, Dr. Earlean Smiley has put together an organization chart and placed people in positions to “ready the district” for the change needed to move forward towards excellence.  Whether you have agreed or disagreed with her, there is no doubting that Smiley is a strategic leader who has demonstrated a great deal of vision, competence and confidence not seen in Broward in a long time.      We are calling on all villages to assist in this clarion call to address the weakening of this country in its respect for the power of diversity. Calling every grass roots organization, each Temple, Lodge, Church, Mosque, the Divine Nine and their youth groups out to support this event. Not only will there be voter education as well as voter registration with the giving away of banned books, different community organizations will have information available to include health related screenings testing and other services as well as FREE FOOD and entertainment.
