The Celebrated Central District, under the astute, visionary leadership of Presiding Elder Rev. Henry E. Green, Jr., held its annual Lay Scholar fundraiser at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The Central District, composed of some 20 AME churches, engaged in a friendly but important scholarship fundraiser competition to assist district students seeking  higher education opportunities. Mt. Hermon’s David Bradwell regained the title of Lay Scholar winner by raising the largest amount of money.  Senior Pastor Henry E. Green III aka Pastor Trae, Central Lay chair Dr. Judy Johnson, parents Prestina and Rickey Bradwell, the Mt. Hermon AME Church family and the community at large led the victory effort. Thanks to all contributors, congratulations King David and may God’s richest blessings continually be yours.
