In what has become a race tarnished with personal attacks and an ugly history, Dr. James Bush III, a former candidate for the Miami Dade County Public School District 1 race, is contesting one of the hottest school board races in Dade County.
Today, Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) released the following statement on the passing of Leo Gray, a member of the Tuskegee Airmen:
“It’s great to see 27 men earn the opportunity to put on a cap & gown, their families cheering them on as they walk across the stage with their heads held high.”
The recent extrajudicial killings of three Black males, including a 13 year-old boy, have sparked protests across the country, and the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) has now declared a state of emergency in Black America.
In his address, the president said that the museum was an essential part of America’s story.
