High school student athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward counties participate in team-building activities at the nonprofit Student ACES’ Captains Summit on Feb. 21, 2020. The summit, held at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens and sponsored by Florida Power & Light Company, teaches the students leadership skills.

Jazz legend Mr. Terrell Stratford will bring his excellent tour to the Broward Performing Art Center on March 11th. He was a former band member and friend of the great McCoy Tyner. On March 9th 2011 an N.P.R. interview with Mr. Stafford expounded on how influenced he was by the talents of Billy Strayhorn.
Bryce Henry of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wins his fight in the second round of the Florida Golden Gloves Tournament this past Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, held in West Palm Beach, Fla. at the West Palm Beach Boxing Club. With the unanimous decision he now moves into the semifinals where he has a chance to compete for the National Golden Gloves Team. Finals are held in Fort Lauderdale at the Heavyweight Factory.
