      Civil Rights Attorney Jennifer Bonjean Releases a Statement Regarding David Ian Blue’s Innocence (Black PR Wire) After over a month delay, Judge Michelle M. Schafer, of Williamson County Illinois, denied Civil Rights Attorney Jennifer Bonjean’s request for a retrial for wrongfully convicted David Ian Blue. Blue was convicted of sexual assault, on September 10, 2021, by bench trial by Judge Michelle Schafer. “False accusations are present in 85% of wrongful convictions of child sexual assaults,” According to the National Registry for Exonerations. Blue is a victim of an unjust system, where Black men are disproportionately impacted by harmful judicial practices and wrongful convictions.

     In at least two instances that historical analysis by the newspapers themselves has been followed by an apology. The papers in the Black cities of Baltimore, Philadelphia and Kansas City studied and confronted decades of negative news coverage on Black communities.

      Black women are shattering glass ceilings in industries where they are often underrepresented. Susan M. Collins, Ph.D, was recently appointed to serve as the president and CEO of The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, making her the first Black woman to sit at the helm of a Fed bank.

     Research shows that men are more likely to die of Covid-19 and, in particular, Black men aged 35 to 44 are dying at nine times the rate of white men in the same age range. The data suggests that social factors—like occupation, behavioral patterns, and underlying health issues—may play an outsized role in these disparate outcomes.

We stand united in the continued fight for Black women to be represented in all arenas important to the progress of our nation, and we are ready to walk arm-in-arm with this administration every step of the way as some of the very best and brightest Black women judges and attorneys are identified, vetted, interviewed, and presented to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.

     My mother had her affairs in order before she died: from her funeral to where her belongings would go. It made our grieving process smoother to not focus on those things. I want the same for my son, so I’ve made my wishes clear to him. Instead of looking at it as a daunting task, I look at it as a gift to him. Putin, unlike Hitler who chose Jews, beggars, LGBTs, and homeless people to murder and incinerate, has chosen to identify Ukrainians to displace, kill and  annex their country.

     SWIFT is necessary for all of the world’s multi-billionaires. If the Russian government and Russian oligarchs that have money and political power are prohibited from utilizing SWIFT, the Russian economy will be crushed.
