     On behalf of the Westside Gazette, it is with immense pride and admiration that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you both as you complete your high school journey and embark on the exciting new chapter of college life. Your dedication and tireless efforts in preserving the legacy of advocacy for the Black Press have left an indelible mark on our community.

In response to the urgent need for workforce housing, Riviera Beach is launching a significant new initiative. Alfred Fields Jr., president of the Alpha Educational Foundation at the Judge Rodgers Center for Community Development, and Councilman and Board Chairperson Douglas Lawson, announced the plans for a new 140-unit workforce housing development.

Rudy Giuliani and ten others pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Arizona. Giuliani, a prominent figure in Donald Trump’s legal team, faced allegations of working to subvert the election results in Arizona through various means, including false claims of widespread voter fraud. The indictment marked a significant development in the ongoing legal battles surrounding the aftermath of the 2020 election, highlighting the contentious nature of the political landscape at the time.

   Allow me to introduce myself: I am Oniya Rolle, a rising sophomore embarking on my journey at the illustrious Clark Atlanta University. As a dedicated student on the biology track, I am passionately pursuing my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist, fueled by a profound interest in research and the intricacies of medical science.

       Come on in, come on in, come on in, come on in, come on in, as Ms. Ferguson, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment, often exclaims. Where are my prospective freshmen, high school seniors, parents, and extended family members? Over the next 10 months, I invite you to join me on a journey through my HBCU college experience in this summer series.

Amya As you stand on the threshold of this new chapter in your life, we want you to know just how much you mean to us. You are not only our daughter but also the very heartbeat of our lives! Your graduation marks not just an academic milestone but a testament to your unwavering commitment to excellence. You have grown into an incredible person.

Dr. Woodson published this revelation in his 1933 book, The Mis – Education of The Negro.  However, He was not satisfied with just identifying the problem. Through his publications and organizational efforts, Dr. Woodson made great strides to make sure African Americans started receiving a proper education accessible to everyone. However, in the year 2024, our nation is faced with another serious dilemma. It is a bacterial infection of ignorance that has appeared in Florida and is threatening to spread throughout the nation. Governor DeSantis signed into law a bill prohibiting public schools and private business from teaching “anything would make White People uncomfortable.  Furthermore, Governor Santis has promoted the slogan “we don’t care for you to share.” He was referring to Black History and culture.
