Everywhere you look on the planet, there is war. There is war in half of the African continent, and there are thousands of people dying every day. In the American mass media, it appears that no one cares, while death and dying is everywhere. The mass media in America decides what wars it will cover, and no one challenges upper management decisions.

Ukraine and Russia at one time was the flavor of the month and it was aggressively covered, and America spent billions on that war. But once Israel and Hamas went to war October 7th, this became the new flavor of the month, and this war was considered important, and covered.

There has been very little discussion about peace, and genocide became the strategy for Israel and Russia. In Ukraine, America is helping Ukraine save their country with weapons, even though Russia has a more powerful military. There was very little discussion about peace, and it is very difficult to figure out America’s short and long term strategy in both of these wars.

In Gaza, where the Hamas are politically and militarily in control, there has been 6 decades of war, and at this time there is no discussion of peace. On October 7th, the Hamas attacked Israel with air, land, and sea and no one expected that to happen with Israel having one of the best security systems in the world.

President Biden has often cast this moment in history as an “inflection point” – a battle between the world’s democracies and autocracies. On Thursday, October 19, he argued that “this is one of those moments,” making a direct appeal to the American people as he sought to build support for US funding for both of these wars.

Both countries were violent and inhumane, but the United States could only understand that Russia and Hamas were wrong. As Israel continues to bomb Gaza, it refuses to give Palestine fresh water, electricity, food, and medicine, the United States continues to support Israel.

As the United States continues to support insanity from Israel there is war all over the world. There is war in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Iraq, Congo, Haiti, Pakistani, Yemen, Syria, Somalia, Libyan, Iran, Taiwan, Israel, and Hamas. This is only a portion of the countries at war, and remember everywhere you look there is war.

In each one of these wars, human beings are dying and someone or country is supporting one of the sides with money, and weapons. In all of these wars’ children, senior citizens, women, and sick people are decimated, with buildings being leveled to the ground with weapons of mass destruction. There are no winners in these wars, and the majority of people act as if they didn’t exist.

If America considered itself as one of the greatest political systems in the world, we must make peace the goal for all the countries at war in the world. When Israel talks about destroying Gaza with bombs and tanks, America must bring back sanity with a discussion of peace. Hamas must understand attacking Israel is wrong, and they must sit down and negotiate peace.

Everywhere there is war, but when countries sit down to resolves their battles peace must be on the table. If the world is going to be a human place to live, there must be peace and love.
