    Dear Pamela,

I take this opportunity to publicly recognize the outstanding service provided to our Tri-County Area by the Westside Gazette Newspaper for over half a century.

As a reader and subscriber since the early 1970’s when the paper was founded, I am aware of the great value the paper has been to the Black Community in keeping it abreast of the current and past historical events that impact all of us.

While looking ahead to the up-coming local and national elections, I sincerely hope that everyone will get out and vote for those whom they feel have been most effective in representing the communities and/or districts where they have resided.

Therefore, as a resident of Broward County who has resided in the St. George/Broward Estate Neighborhood since 1968; and having served as Assistant City Manager of Fort Lauderdale (31 years); Boys and Girls Clubs of America (10 years); substitute teacher in Broward County Schools (4 years); United States Air Force (4 years); Advisory Board, U.S. Air Force Academy appointed by U.S. Congressman E. Clay Shaw; and Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward Ambassador, I hereby endorse Mr. Lawrence “Jabbow” Martin for Mayor of the City of Lauderhill, Florida.

Lawrence Martin has served the city faithfully and well as commissioner from this area of the city he represents, and will continue to work even harder to keep Lauderhill on the move to greatness.

    Sincerely,

    James O. Hill
