Submitted by Joanna Allen
ATLANTA GA, — chromatic black™ has been appointed to “Stop Project 2025 Task Force,” a newly formed working group spearheaded by U.S. Congressional Representative Jared Huffman (D-CA-02) to stop the Maga Plan, also known as Project 2025, to roll back key policies and programs for American democracy. As part of the new “Stop Project 2025 Task Force,” chromatic black™ will partner with Democratic Congressional leaders, civic leaders, and community activists to amplify efforts to educate and mobilize the public about Project 2025 and a conservative agenda to dismantle civil, women’s and LGBTQ+ rights, decades of progress pertaining to climate change, public education, and immigration reform.
“Stop Project 2025 Task Force” will serve as a central hub for progressive leaders in Congress, civil society, and affected communities to coordinate on examining, highlighting, preempting, and counteracting Project 2025 – a roadmap developed by the Heritage Foundation that outlines strategies to consolidate executive branch power, purge federal workers, erode checks and balances, and swiftly enact controversial policies opposed by most Americans.
Project 2025 is an audacious and extreme pro-authoritarian initiative driven by conservatives who aim to regress our nation. It undermines the fundamental principles that define our democracy, and threatens to dismantle hard-won civil protections that support a diverse and inclusive society. The project’s dangerous policy proposals paint a dire future for our country and everyone should be concerned about its implications. chromatic black™ is resolute in opposing Project 2025 and defending our democratic values.
What Is Project 2025 and Its Implications To Americans?
Project 2025, also known as the MAGA Plan, is a conservative 180 day blueprint designed to turn back the clock and eliminate America’s policies to maintain a democratic society. The conservative agenda will consolidate executive branch power, purge federal workers, erode checks and balances, and swiftly enact controversial policies opposed by most Americans.
Project 2025 will affect our civil liberties in three key areas.
- First, the dismantling of environmental regulations, clean energy measures, and climate policy;
- Second, a rollback of civil and political rights for women and LGBTQ populations and the elimination of public health measures; and
- Third, a massive purge of career civil servants and the concentration of power in the Executive branch in the White House, to consolidate an entrenched authoritarian regime.
“Project 2025 represents a cold and dystopian vision that threatens to unravel the very fabric of our society. It is a chilling reminder that the freedoms and rights we hold dear are not guaranteed but must be vigilantly protected. This initiative is a dangerous regression, a step towards a world where inequality and oppression are normalized. We must confront this threat head-on, with the same courage and resolve that has driven past struggles for justice. Our collective future depends on our ability to resist such draconian measures and to uphold the principles of democracy, equity, and human dignity,” says Abeni Bloodworth, co-founder, chromatic black™
How Can Changemakers Combat Project 2025?
chromatic black™, one of the “Stop Project 2025 Task Force” member, in collaboration with the Center for Popular Democracy and its allies, are hosting monthly “2024 & Beyond: Creating Our Shared Futures” town halls to sound a rally cry and to educate the public about The Heritage Foundations 180 blueprint called “Project 2025.” The town halls foster meaningful dialogues about a conservative agenda to dismantle decades of progress as it pertains to civil, racial, women’s reproductive, LGBTQ+ rights as well as eradicate progress focusing on climate change, public education and immigration.
“2024 & Beyond: Creating Our Shared Futures” town halls facilitate meaningful conversations with community members, stakeholders, changemakers to mobilize and to protect our democracy. Each session aims to empower participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to actively engage in shaping the nation’s future, emphasizing the importance of solidarity, vigilance, and proactive engagement in the democratic process. Participants can look forward to dynamic discussions that move beyond critique to actionable strategies, emphasizing the role of community engagement and policy advocacy in achieving meaningful change.
Upcoming “2024 & Beyond: Creating Our Shared Future” town halls will focus on LGBTQ rights (June 27), public education (August 29), climate justice (September 12), immigration (September 26), and racial equity (October 24). Dates are subject to change.

“Project 2025 advances a narrative of regression and control, seeking to roll back the progress made in civil rights, social justice, and environmental protection. It promotes a vision of society where power is concentrated in the hands of a few, undermining democratic institutions and silencing of many individuals. This narrative is steeped in fear and division, aiming to stifle dissent and perpetuate inequality by eroding the hard-won gains of our nation. It calls into question the very ideals of life, liberty, and justice, presenting a stark contrast to the inclusive and equitable future many strive fo,” says Abeni Bloodworth, co-founder, chromatic black™
