Sister Learnte Ferguson, affectionately known as “Grandma” to the entire Larkdale community, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Florida Medical Center (North Shore Campus).
Learnte is survived by two sons: Henry Ferguson, Jr. and Benjamin Ferguson; six daughters: Jacqueline “Jackie” Gibson, Eunice “Pam” Dinkins, Vendria “Penny” Jones, Beverly “Pinkey” Ferguson, Louise “Peaches” Tart, and Learnte “Precious” Brown; and a quiver full of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
The Wake/Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Roy Mizell & Kurtz Funeral Home located at 1305 N.W. Sixth St. (Sistrunk Blvd.), Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 1 p.m. at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 901 N.W. 11 Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
